Road cycling enthusiasts love the Adige/Etsch Cycle Path and challenging mountain passes, while mountain bikers explore the trails in the foothills of the Dolomites. One of our favourite walks: the Three Lakes Circuit, starting at Lake Caldaro/Kalterer See, going up around the two Monticolo/Montiggler Seen lakes, and back again.
More nature experiences in South Tyrol’s South
Golf enthusiasts will be in their element at Eppan Golf Club (9 holes, approx. 25 minutes’ drive) and Petersberg Golf Club (18 holes, approx. 35 minutes’ drive).
Stretching 8 kilometres in length and reaching depths of up to 400 metres, the Bletterbach gorge tells the story of 250 million years of Earth’s history. The gorge is accessible from early May to early November.
With its waterfall, this natural monument in Kaltern has the air of an enchanted place and is particularly suitable for families. From Lake Caldaro/Kalterer See, stairways and steps lead through the gorge up to Altenburg.
